In Mala Ma'am's ceramics studio in Mumbai, India, detailed handmade ceramics are manufactured with great care and respect for people and nature.
Through workshops, Mala and her team offer marginalized and vulnerable young adults vocational training and through that also work and opportunities for self-sufficiency for them and their families.

Våra fågelholkar av stengodskeramik är den första keramikprodukt som vi tog fram tillsammans med Studion i Mumbai och därför väldigt kär.
Eftersom det är ont om gamla träd med naturliga håligheter för våra vänner småfåglarna att bygga sina bon i är det ett mycket välkommet tillskott i våra trädgårdar när vi sätter upp fågelholkar åt dem.
What is stoneware ceramics?
Ceramics made of stoneware clay have a special character, rustic and are heavy in the hand. The weight comes from the natural composition of minerals containing a higher proportion of quartz, which weighs more, than ceramics made from traditional earthenware.
As a rule, stoneware ceramics are glazed in natural tones to get a good attachment surface on the quartz-rich clay and the objects are close at hand in the Scandinavian design language. Which has contributed to the rise in popularity we have seen in recent years.

Handmade Easter decorations
We have produced a collection of detailed hand-sculpted Easter eggs and spring flowers to hang in the Easter crisis. Carefully shaped from stoneware clay, hand-painted and glazed, they are a valuable treasure to produce year after year. Something very beautiful to create lasting memories around and then pass on to the next generation.
Each egg and flower bears traces of touch and has been gently handled up to 18 times during the long manufacturing process.
